Nomination Form

The Thirty under Thirty Awards are our way of highlighting all that is fabulous about the young people in our industry.
 
Everyone is welcome and can be owners, employees, students, freelancers, and trainees working in any part of the flower industry - be it a florist shop, studio or wholesaler. The only rules are that they must be under 30 on 30th September 2022 (i.e. they were born on or after 01.10.92).
 
You can nominate yourself or someone you know in both the BUSINESS OWNER and EMPLOYEE categories but nominees in the TRAINEE category can ONLY be nominated by their employer or college tutor. However you only need one nomination - multiple nominations will NOT be included.
 
Closing date is Friday 16th September, nominees will appear on theflorist.co.uk and finalists will be contacted by 30th September. 
 
All finalists will receive a certificate, with the winners receiving a fabulous trophy.  In addition ALL finalists will be invited as guests* to Good Florist Event in Manchester (8/9 October) and the winners will be announce on the evening of 8th October at the prestigious Tux and Tiaras Dinner.

** We will provide one full delegate pass (value £235) for each finalist to Good Florist Event which covers the cost of all seminars, Tux & Tiaras Dinner and lunch on Sunday.   You will be responsible for your own accommodation (special discounted rate will apply if you stay at The Marriott) and travel and will need to pay for anyone else you bring.  The pass is non-transferable and no cash alternative is available. * 8. THE BIG ONE!! Why should this person be included in the 30/30 HoF?
Please explain in no more than 300 words what makes this person so special and why they should be included.  Obviously, if entering as a florist their design skill – along with product knowledge - should be excellent and if employed in a wholesale company their knowledge of flowers and plants but what else makes them stand out. Is it success in their career or academic achievements, their approach to a disability or difficulty they have had to overcome, the way they have dealt with tough trading conditions, the way they have promoted themselves, their willingness to help others etc etc.

Each nomination needs to be accompanied by three pictures ... the first is a picture of the nominee ... a high quality head and shoulders shot - preferably with a gleaming smile!!

I confirm that this form is accurate to the best of my ability and no of no reason why the nominee should not be included in the Hall of Fame.
I understand that the information will be used to both promote and assess the nomination and confirm that the nominee is happy for their photos and details to be shared in the 30 under 30 Hall of Fame.
Please note the 30 under 30 is open only to people within the UK and Ireland. At this stage we cannot accept overseas nominations … maybe next year!
The finalists will be assessed and selected by a panel of judges from the Good Florist Guide membership. Their decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into concerning the results.
