The Board's was set up to review the approach to dental regulation across England and assess the effectiveness of current arrangements to develop a more streamlined, joined-up and effective model of regulation.
One of the Board’s key areas of focus was to define the system of quality improvement in the dental sector and the role of key stakeholders in improvement. Clinical audit, peer review and Practitioner Advice and Support Schemes are central to the Board's model for quality improvement.
