* 1. For years we have had wooden posts in place from Tannery Lane to the Pavilion to protect Gosden Common from unauthorised vehicular access. These posts need to be replaced regularly because they rot at the base and become insecure. We could replace the wooden posts at a cost of £4,500 (the second option below), but this would not be a permanent solution. We think a longer-term solution is necessary both financially and for the security of the Common.
