Later Life Ambitions: Older people and employment survey

The House of Commons Women and Equalities Committee recently launched an inquiry into older people and employment. MPs are looking at current Government policies to help people extend their working lives, and considering further steps which could be taken to tackle the day-to-day issues facing older people in the workplace.

We would like to hear about your experiences at work before you retired. This short survey will help us frame our response to the committee’s inquiry and ensure that your experiences are properly reflected.

1. £40 million was allocated to 'lifelong learning pilots' testing different approaches to retraining and upskilling throughout working lives;

2. £5 million was allocated to increase the number of 'returnships' offering routes back to employment for people who have taken lengthy career breaks.
