The pro-forma forms part of an on-going research project designed to support school governors in Wales. The project is funded by HEFCW & conducted by WISERD, Cardiff University.
The Aim?
The aim is to develop a body of case studies or reflections by school governors in Wales on their experiences of a range of topics relating to their role. It is hoped that these can be used by individuals, governing bodies and other agencies in training, to encourage self-reflection, and as a resource bank for reference. 
Who is this pro-forma for?
The pro-forma should only be completed by current school governors, or those who have been one in the last 12 months. You may be a governor at a Primary, Secondary, Special, or all-through school.

How will the pro-forma response data be used?
Data collected through the pro-forma may be used on the School Governor Reflections Resource on the Governors Cymru Services website. All the data will be treated confidentially and will be anonymised if used.  Governors Cymru Services may edit text before uploading to the site to ensure consistency in style and for clarity of understanding. We also reserve the right not to include any details or contents that we do not believe will of benefit to governors at this time. Unfortunately, we will not be able to contact individuals to inform them about the use, or not, of any content that they provide. Data will be processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2016 (GDPR).  All data will be securely stored for administrative purposes. 

How long will the data be kept?
Case study data may be left online and available for over 10 years. Other data that may be collected as a result of the online pro-forma.

Governors Cymru Services is a Data Controller for the information you provide.  You have the right to access information held about you, should you provide personal information. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 (up until 24th May 2018) and the General Data Protection Regulation thereafter.
