3.Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD) This is having the tube put in the tummy and draining/filling up with fluid 4 times a day.

How do you rate the quality of information available for CAPD?
4.Automated Peritoneal Dialysis (APD) This is having the overnight machine by your bed that pumps the fluid in/out of your tummy during the night whilst you sleep, instead of draining/filling 4 times a day.

5.Haemodialysis at Home You need a room at home and somebody to help you do this; usually a partner so it’s usually not suitable for those who live alone.

6.Haemodialysis in Hospital This is the option that most are suitable for and could have if they wanted to, and the usual option to fall back on if the other options are not suitable or no longer work.
