Looking through the answers to Q5, which do you think are the (maximum 3) most important factors for YOU when choosing the MATERIALS for a job?
7.
There has been a lot of discussion in the media recently on the subject of sustainability.
Would you say that these days your clients specify materials primarily because of their sustainability:
very often - most jobs will include sustainable materials
more often than not - more than 50% of jobs will include sustainable materials
occasionally - less than half of jobs will include sustainable materials
never or almost never - only very rarely will a job include sustainable materials
8.
Why do you think this is the case?
9.
How much more do you think your clients would be prepared to pay for materials from sustainable sources?
Nothing - lowest price is everything
A little - but certainly less than 20%
A lot - between 20% and 50%
The sky's the limit - they'll pay whatever is needed for sustainable options
10.
Thinking about jobs that you have done in the past 6 months, to what extent are your clients concerned about the disposal of old shopfittings that are removed from their premises?
Very concerned - this is a big deal for them, they have a specified approach that we must follow
Moderately concerned - they want to do the right thing, but they generally trust us to do so
Not especially concerned - as long as the materials are removed from site then that's fine
11.
When you are required to separate old shopfittings for recycling, briefly describe how this is managed in practice.
12.
Do you offer your clients any kind of 'added value' service in recycling old materials? (For example re-using or re-purposing, sometimes called upcycling)
Yes
No
Not at the moment, but we are actively looking into this as an option
13.
If yes, please give a short description of how this works
14.
Have you ever discontinued the use of any materials due to concerns about recyclability or sustainability?
Yes
No
15.
If yes, please can you provide a brief explanation.
16.
Over the next 12 months, how important do you think sustainability will be to your business?
Extremely important - it will be central to how we think about the business
Quite important - we will address the challenges as they come along
Not that important - it seems a bit distant from my business and even a bit exaggerated
17.
And finally, it's really helpful to know a little about you, though if you'd prefer not to answer any of these questions, that's fine too.
