CIC Scope of Services

The CIC Scope of Services comprises lists of tasks which are, or may be, required on all projects. From these lists, parties can draw up schedules of services for the appointment of consultants, specialists and contractors by allocating the tasks to whoever is to undertake them.

There are 14 Tables that set out the services to be undertaken by all those undertaking the definition process on major building projects. The definition process includes design and related activities, such as cost, programme, health and safety, performance, integration and co-ordination.

The Specific Scope Schedule provides a further level of detail.

The first edition of the Scope of Services was published in 2007, and hard copy matrices were accompanied by the DefinIT bespoke software.
