1. Information and Consent

Introduction
Brendan Research, on behalf of the Scottish Church Leaders' Forum, and funded by Action of Churches Together in Scotland (ACTS), is inviting leaders of all UKME congregations in Scotland to participate in a study to learn about their Christian mission in Scotland today. This undertaking aims to be one of the most comprehensive surveys of UKME congregations in Scotland, and your participation is therefore greatly appreciated.

Please note that this survey will close on 30 January, 2023 at 12:30pm.
Purpose of the research
This research aims to explore the scope, nature and experiences of ethnic minority and new migrant congregations in contemporary Scotland. Among other things, this research will seek to discover and analyse:
• The number of ethnic minority congregations in Scotland and map their distribution across the country
• Understand their mission and explore their experiences of ministering in Scotland
• Determine any challenges they face in society and in their Christian ministry
• Explore opportunities for building ecumenical partnerships, dialogue and cross-cultural learning
Who is taking part?
All clergy or the equivalent congregational leaders of UKME churches represented in Scotland are being invited to take part in this survey exploring their ministry experiences as a leader of a UKME congregation.
What will taking part involve?
The questionnaire will take about 20 minutes to complete and will contain a mixture of closed and open-ended questions. All questions are optional, apart from the ones on this page.
We would like to learn about you and your ministry, and your congregation - its size, languages and ethnicities. We will ask about your experiences of mission in Scotland, and about the wider Scottish church.
If you would like to view the questions before taking part, a PDF is available here.
Data protection
Brendan Research operates under the UK GDPR and a full privacy notice detailing your rights is given here.
