Last year we carried out a survey that reached over 350 families. We found out that, among many other things, you were interested in reading and writing skills for younger children, science and fitness for families, that many of you wanted to gain qualifications for yourselves but also that well over half of you struggle to manage stress which is not surprising in the busy world. 

We have started to put on workshops and courses to meet your needs and also to speak to partner organisations, schools and employers about more support for parents but the more information we can get from you, the better the response to your needs can be, so we're sending out a second survey to find out a bit more.

Family Learning courses are designed for parents, grandparents and carers who want to support a child's learning, as well as anyone wanting to volunteer or work in schools. We're looking for new ways, days and times ti promote Family Learning, to meet your needs and to work with you to support children;s learning as well as creating time and space for you to ask your own questions and think about your own issues including accessing learning opportunities for yourself. 

Please complete this short survey. It will take 5-10 minutes but it will help us to work with you to meet your needs.

DATA PROTECTION : The information collected will be shared with local area teams, early yeas providers and schools teams to help set up courses and workshops which suit your needs. However, no names or personal details will be shared. Paper surveys will be added to our our online survey and kept for up to two years to inform our course planning. You will only be contacted by the Family Learning team if you have left contact details for further information.

Why are we asking this? Although workshops are open to anyone, many Family Learning courses include an adult qualification and are funded for people who didn’t get GCSE C (or 4) and above.  As well as giving you confidence to help your children, they’re a great way to get your own learning or career back on track.
