Farley Hill Big Local Community Consultation

Farley Hill Big Local is a resident led partnership which was awarded £1million of National Lottery funding to make Farley Hill an even better place to live, work and play.

We are local resident volunteers whose focus is for our community to be to improved and safer with more opportunities and facilities.  Our vision is a Farley Hill that is community-led with a healthier and more qualified community.  We are working towards:

Bringing Community Together
Improving parks, green and outdoor Spaces
Providing access to Social Enterprise, learning and Employment

Some of our work to date includes:
·         Launching a community chest that gives grants to local residents and community groups to set up their projects - so far, we have given grants to 23 organisations and individuals to run a range of activities and events for local residents;
·         Events including the Farley Hill Festival which in 2019 brought more than 1400 people together;
·         Four team party events for older people:
·         Funded the Prince William Award at both Whipperly Infants school and Farley Hill Junior school for 60 children;
·         Supported 108 Year 7 pupils from Stockwood Park Academy to attend a weekend residential of outdoor activities;
·         With resident volunteers developed design for open green and place spaces plans for Whippley Way.

We have also been working on other projects to improve the area, including the investigating opportunities for development of outdoor space for activities such as cycling, ways to maximise training and employment opportunities and financial information and advice for local residents.
We need your help to write our next plan, by answering these questions, talking to or emailing us, and we would also be grateful for any time you can give to make these ideas happen. The more volunteers we have, the more we can do.

This survey should take around 15 minutes to complete. To thank you for helping us with this, you can enter a prize draw at the end of this survey. We have three £50 vouchers 1x Mall Voucher, 1x Nandos Voucher and 1x Debenhams Voucher.  Be sure to leave us your contact details if you want to enter the prize draw!
