Focused Transoesophageal Echo (fTOE) Supervisor Form
fTOE Accreditation
Thank you for considering becoming a supervisor for this accreditation. The accreditation in Focused Transoesophageal Echocardiography (fTOE) is a joint project between the Intensive Care Society and Association of Anaesthetists.
The aim of the accreditation is to improve clinicians’ ability to perform fTOE. Candidates will follow an accreditation pathway that includes working through online modules, performing supervised and unsupervised scans, and successfully completing an accreditation exam.
We are looking for fTOE supervisors to be responsible for all the hands-on training, the reviewing of scans, overseeing the logbook and guaranteeing the validity and probity of the entire training process up to the final assessment.
For more information about becoming a supervisor, please see the ICS website.
