We’ve launched a story and art competition with a flu fighting theme, great prizes for the top stories and art are up for grabs! This competition is open to anyone aged 5 to 11 years old living in Bradford District and Craven.

What do you need to do to enter:

Draw a picture or write a story of up to 500 words or less, based around the theme – ‘Fighting flu’.

Don’t worry about spelling, punctuation and grammar. We also accept submissions in the language you feel most comfortable with including English, Urdu, Bangla, Polish, etc.

Your story can include anyone, whether that be favourite cartoon characters, celebrities, superheroes, dinosaurs, aliens or princesses.

You can be as creative as you want, so long as your story is about fighting the flu, you can create anything your imagination drums up.

When you've finished the writing and editing or drawing process, submit your entry using this form.

The children’s story competition is open from 25 August and will close on 1 October 2023. The judging will take place once the competition has closed, and the winners will be announced 16 October.

There are prizes for first, second and third place. Good luck!
