Melville Centre for the Arts Public Survey
Help us to restore the Melville Centre by sharing your views and answering our short survey!
The Melville Centre for the Arts is a volunteer-led Social Enterprise on the site of Abergavenny’s former Grammar School, King Henry’s, on Pen y Pound where youth theatre companies have been based since 1971.
The Melville Centre for the Arts Community Interest Company (a Social Enterprise) was formed in 2016 by local people who want to ensure that the site, its theatre and Grade 2 listed buildings remain in public use. In 2019 Monmouthshire County Council agreed that community asset transfer of the site will be completed once the necessary funding has been secured from grant making organisations. We are now working on a fundraising programme to enable us to turn the site into an accessible and user-friendly Arts Centre, (incorporating all art forms), fit for the 21st Century.
It is vital that people from the community have their say in how the Arts Centre should be developed and therefore we would be very grateful if you could help us by filling in the survey, and sending on the link to anyone else you know who may be interested.
