The High Park Project gives local residents opportunities to get involved and make positive changes in their community. The project works with local residents, organisations, schools and businesses - and in order to move the project forward, we need your ideas on what you'd like to see next!
Our last survey 6 months ago revealed some key points local residents wanted addressed in the area including:
Local newsletter: we now print and distribute a newsletter approx every 4 months.
Use Devonshire Road Park for more than just dog walking: we use the park for our family fun days and we are often there with the 'Blue Bus', doing a whole host of activties from arts & crafts to sport sessions, both after school and during the holidays.
Dog mess: we held a free microchipping event and asked local children to design Bag It & Bin It posters which have now been made into banners to be displayed locally.
More community-centered activity: we have held fun days, events & activities for childtren in Southport Community Centre, Bishop David Sheppard Primary School and on Devonshire Road Park. The school council at Meols Cop High School kindly helped us with Easter and Chritsmas parties in 2016.
Charity events: so far we have held events which have raised money for Macmillan, The Royal British Legion, Claire House Children's Hospice, sensory boxes for Norwood Primary School, and Make A Wish foundation.
With lots of help, we have listened to your ideas and loved working with you to help make them happen.
We now need your help again...
Please take a few minutes to answer the questions below to help us plan what the High Park Project should do next. This survey asks similiar questions to the one circulated in mid-late 2016 but we are hoping to reach more people, so if you haven't filled it in already, please help us out!
We would like to know what activities & events you have attended, if you think we have made a difference and what else you feel we can do moving forward.
Thank you!
