Listen and Respond

This listening exercise is based on the Joyful Mysteries. Please pray the decade before responding to the questions as guided below.
Whether doing this alone or in a group, please use the following basic format:
  • Take a moment of prayer or silence.
  • Read the Bible passage and reflect on what strikes you.
  • Pray a decade of the rosary.
  • Respond to the questions.
  • Type in what you would like us to receive.
If you are in a group, please listen gracefully to one another. Do not be afraid of opposing perspectives.

When typing your response, you can either agree a paragraph that includes everyone's response or list the different responses mentioned.

Thank you for joining Our Journey Together.
Prayer for our Synodal Pathway

We stand before You, Holy Spirit, as we gather together in Your name.
With You alone to guide us, make Yourself at home in our hearts;

Teach us the way we must go and how we are to pursue it.
We are weak and sinful; do not let us promote disorder.

Do not let ignorance lead us down the wrong path
nor partiality influence our actions.

Let us find in You our unity so that we may journey together
to eternal life and not stray from the way of truth and what is right.

All this we ask of You, who are at work in every place and time,
in the communion of the Father and the Son, forever and ever.

The Apostle's Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth;
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son Our Lord,

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into Hell; the third day He rose again from the dead;
He ascended into Heaven, and sits at the right hand of God, the Father almighty;
from there He shall come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church,
the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body and life everlasting.
