Future Proposals

Filton Town Council have been considering the future for Filton Sports and Leisure Centre and are in the process of getting proposals from potential partners to support the Council in delivering investment in the facility to provide improved facilities. It is proposed to invest in the current facilities to include

·         Retention and refurbishment of the swimming pools, with refurbishment of changing rooms and the pools
·         Provision of an expanded fitness facility to include the provision of exercise studios and an expanded gym with modern new equipment
·         A new soft play facility which will deliver services for families and children
·         An improved café/bar facility to deliver a family offer and with links to the outdoor facilities

The purpose of this investment is to deliver facilities which provide modern updated facilities which meet the needs of residents and the local population, encouraging more people to participate in sport and physical activity, so improving the health and wellbeing of Filton.

The current facility is in need of investment and these proposals seek to provide new enhanced facilities which will prolong the life of the Centre and deliver a new facility in keeping with comparable facilities in the market and seek to avoid future closure of the facility. The aim is to provide the investment with no impact on the Council precept.
