Dear Resident

St. Kevin's Public Open Space is located in Kirkby, north of the St. Kevin's Estate, off St. Kevin's Drive, by the railway line and was originally created as part of the St. Kevin's Drive Housing Development.

As a result of the new Train Station proposals off Headbolt Lane directly north of the site, the opportunity has arisen to enhance St. Kevin's Public Open Space and restore it's recreational function for the community once again.

Knowsley Council is seeking the views of local residents to understand how you would like your local public open space to be improved.  A draft Master Plan for improving the site is included in this consultation.

The proposals not only include improving access through the site to the new Train Station, but also aim to re-instate St. Kevin's as an outdoor space that the community can use for recreation and access to the natural environment.  The scheme will add to the public open space and path networks created recently in the Mulberry Park development to the east.

We look forward to receiving your comments and ideas for improving your local public green space to maximise it's value to your neighbourhood!
