Public Consultation – January 2021
On behalf of Lewes District Council, a planning application is being prepared for the demolition of the former Newhaven Fire Station located on Fort Road. The Fire Station has been vacant following the relocation of its services into the centre of Newhaven. Outline planning permission was previously granted for the redevelopment of the site to provide 7no. 3-bedroom houses in June 2015, however this permission was never implemented. These updated proposals seek to replace the existing buildings on the site with a new residential development consisting of a revised layout to provide 7no. affordable 3-bedroom rented houses for local people, and in advance of the application submission we would like to invite you to review the proposals for the site and provide us with your thoughts.
