What do you want on the Lion Green Road site?
Croydon Council shut Coulsdon's 200-space Lion Green Road car park in July 2015 to allow for the construction of a Waitrose store, originally planned to open in 2017. More than a year later and nothing has happened.
After calls from the local councillors, MP, GLA member and hundreds of residents, in February the Council re-opened part of the car park after it emerged the Labour Council had chosen to scrap the supermarket proposal with little information shared publicly about why.

The Council is starting work on fresh plans for the site. When asked what those plans will include Cllr Tony Newman, Labour Leader of the Council, has said: “We are looking at a balance of housing and parking".
Local councillors are concerned that any proposed housing will take up much needed car-parking space and perhaps a smaller Waitrose to accommodate. Current plans can be viewed on the Council website.
Your local elected representatives are therefore asking you: what do you want from the Lion Green Road scheme? They will then present the results of this survey to Croydon Council to inform their plans for the site.
