Those from lower socio-economic backgrounds often aren’t aware of the possibilities that could be open to them, when they are, they need to see role models from similar backgrounds who have progressed and have become socially mobile. Organisations often have a focus on areas of progression routes for underrepresented groups and individuals to provide representation, visibility, support and guidance.
