As the Ombudsman, we can launch an investigation even without receiving a complaint. This is called an 'own initiative investigation'.

We are currently considering launching an own initiative investigation into the ease of access for carers to,  and the effectiveness of:
  • Carer needs assessments
  • Health and local authority complaint processes
