- Family Rights Group's website hosts the Adoption England-funded Birth Families Map - a map and directory of services in England that offer support and information for birth families affected by adoption. It the only resource of its kind that lets birth families search to see what adoption support is available to them in their area before, during, or after adoption proceedings have taken place, and find out how they can access that support.
- If your organisation offers an adoption support and/or information service to birth families affected by adoption anywhere in England, including general or legal advice, support group, and therapeutic services, and are not already included in the map, please complete these questions about your service in order to be included in the map and service directory.
- The survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete, and the service details gathered will be uploaded to the service directory which is searchable for families and practitioners.
- If your organisation offers multiple adoption support and information services for birth families, that is not already included in the Birth Families Map please complete and submit a separate survey for each service.
- We will be reviewing and updating the map and service directory information every summer for the next two years to make sure that we capture changes to what services are available and where. Please complete the survey with information about services as they currently stand.
- You can access and search the map here: https://frg.org.uk/birth-families-map
- If you have any questions or would like to talk through any aspect of the survey, please contact Angharad Davies, Social Work Adviser at Family Rights Group at adavies@frg.org.uk.
- The deadline to complete this survey is Friday 19 September 2025.
