About this survey
The Mallaig Community Shop Steering Group came together when people in the village expressed interest in a community shop to occupy the closed Spar shop premises.
We plan to open a community-run shop and enterprise space for Mallaig, employing local people, prioritising local suppliers and environmentally friendly practices and ploughing any profit back into the community. Part of this is to ensure that the existing Post Office is able to remain open.
The Steering Group has commissioned Community Enterprise to carry out an independent feasibility study for the new Community Shop. Your views will help shape the future of the project.
If you already filled in the Community Shop Questionnaire earlier this year, some of the questions here will be familiar, but we want to hear from you again: this is the next step in our research, and so much has changed since early spring.
