The Royal Historical Society seeks to provide information to historians seeking to navigate developments in Open Access publishing. Most recently, we have provided a set of 'Questions & Answers' relating to a new OA policy introduced by UKRI, which oversees the AHRC -- the UK research council that provides funding for historians.
We hope this guide proves useful and we will update our guidance in the light of future developments, most notably concerning monograph publishing.
However, you may still have questions relating to UKRI policies on Open Access and how these might affect you if your research has been supported by AHRC funding.
