Inquiry into support for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
In 2014, the government introduced wide-reaching changes to the special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) system in England, with the intention of offering simpler, improved and consistent help for children and young people with SEND.
The government claimed the changes introduced by the Children and Families Act 2014 would equip families to meet the challenges faced by children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
An influential committee of MPs is now reviewing the success of these reforms and Together for Short Lives want to make sure that the voices of its members are heard as part of this important inquiry.
If you have any reflections on the 2014 SEND changes - either positive or negative - please take some time to respond to our short survey by 7 June.
