Introduction

Thank you for completing the online self assessment for the NCYPD Quality Programme. There are questions on the next page about how you got on and tips for next time.

We are now planning the Peer Review visits from January 2019.  (we are piloting in ten units in October and November) Let us know when would suit you best for a visit. Peer Review should be seen as a positive process that enables you to discuss your triumphs and challenges with similar teams who can acknowledge the pressures and opportunities available to clinical MDTs.  The aim of these visits is to provide support and encouragement alongside achievable recommendations and the authority of the RCPCH to influence and enable change.

We recognise that there are good and bad times to welcome visiting teams; every participating unit will be visited at some point between January 2019 and March 2021. You may want an early review to enable you to plan strategically or to help resolve a current problem or you may be undergoing a process of change or Quality Improvement now and want to be visited when this is complete to provide recognition and new challenges.

Whilst we cannot guarantee to schedule your visit when you suggest we will do our best so the more information you provide the better we will be able to accommodate your request.

We will always give 12 weeks’ notice of a visit date.
