As Government advice asks people to self-isolate and work from home, and policy reduces our ability to travel in the UK and overseas, it is clear that COVID-19 (Coronavirus) is having a huge impact on production, and therefore directors.

Recent measures introduced by the Government have largely focused on businesses, although there is some support which may help you as freelancers/Limited companies (in particular, in terms of HMRC delaying tax payments and increasing access to some benefits). We are looking closely at the detail of these proposals to see how useful they would be for directors and how easy it will be to apply for them. As soon as we have some clear advice on this we will post it on our advice page.

Directors UK, alongside many other organisations, is lobbying the Government to ensure additional appropriate support measures are also introduced for freelancers/self-employed workers. But we need information about the impact on you in order to influence the Chancellor and the Government and to help them understand your needs.

We are therefore asking you to please complete the following survey so that we can present a strong case on the impacts on directors. We need your responses ASAP to help support any immediate action. Next week, we want to be able to go back to the government with our findings, so please complete by Sunday if you can. We will continue to keep the survey open for ongoing responses. Thank you for your time.
