Review of Community Transport Initiative |
Hello, my name is Elaine Brown and I am a student at De Montfort University in Leicester studying for a Foundation degree in Community Governance. I am also the Deputy Town Clerk at Newbiggin by the Sea Town Council.
The aim of the questionnaire, which forms part of a module on Community Research, is to provide user information in a review the Newbiggin Nipper.
The Newbiggin Nipper is a community transport initiative delivered by WATBus and funded jointly by Northumberland County Council and Newbiggin by the Sea Town Council. The service was launched on 26th October 2010.
The hail and ride service operates on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9.15am until 1.00pm. The service is NOT open to the general public. You must first join the Newbiggin Nipper Travel Club.
The criteria for eligibility to join the Newbiggin Nipper Travel Club is you must be a resident of the Newbiggin Parish and you have disabled travel pass or a pensioner pass (available at state pension age).
This questionnaire is aimed at residents of the Newbiggin Parish that have either a disabled travel pass or a pensioner pass.
As the Newbiggin Nipper Community Transport Service was disrupted due to government restrictions in the Covid-19 pandemic the questionnaire has been designed taking this into account.
