Westleton Village Hall: Community Transport Scheme

Community Transport Scheme Survey

The Village Hall has secured a small amount of funding from East Suffolk Council to investigate the possibility of setting up a Community Transport Scheme for the village. The volunteer drivers would be able to take passengers to medical appointments, hospital, doctors, dentists, opticians etc, to visit patients in hospital or residents in local care homes. Transport to shops, social activities and local stations would also be available. Drivers would be volunteers, they would be fully insured, DBS checked etc, and passengers would pay a standard amount per mile, in line with Suffolk County Council Community Car Services passenger charges.
It would be really helpful to us if you could complete the following short questionnaire, and return it to the Village Hall as soon as possible, but by May 25th at the latest, please. If you have any questions, please contact Annie at the Village Hall, or Sue Brett on 01728 648700. Thank you for completing the form.
1.How do you get to the shops, doctors, hospital etc at present ?
2.Do you think you would use a Community Transport Scheme if it was set up in the village?
3.What would you use such a scheme for ? (please tick all that apply)
4.If you have no need for such a scheme at the moment, do you think you may wish to use it in the future, maybe in a few years time ?
5.If you are able to drive at present, but were not able to do so in the future, would you be likely to have to move elsewhere ?
6.Would you be interested in joining the scheme as a volunteer driver (mileage expenses would be covered) ?
7.It would be helpful if you would tell us your age
8.If you have any further comments please include them here
9.The questionnaire can be completed confidentially, but if you would be interested in volunteering, (or if you wish us to respond) please provide your name, address, email and telephone number (this will be kept securely in accordance with GDPR)
