Homeworking Survey and Contact Details Update.

The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated home working throughout all sectors of the economy. However, there are few areas where the scale and pace has been greater than within finance workers.

This has thrown up questions of the future of working arrangements with many employers openly exploring trimming the cost of physical office space in favour of a permanent shift to home-working.

Whilst many will see a benefit with a reduction in commuting and more time at home, it is vital this is weighed against a level of concern for employees that secures their health, safety and well-being.

We want to hear from you on all aspects of home working. It is crucial you take the time to fill in the survey today and encourage as many workmates as possible to do so too.

Occasional: to work from home during a specific period or on an ‘as and when’ basis by mutual agreement.

Regular: to have a formal regularised arrangement to work from home on some days and attend the workplace on others.

All my IT needs are met by the employer, including the provision of a work phone. Any costs I have incurred have been covered by my employer.

My employer has ensured I have a suitable workspace at home for carrying out their work, with particular care given to ensuring proper ergonomics.

I'm covered by a relevant up-to-date risk assessment and have been issued with any PPE required.

I feel protected from risks of to their mental health including stress and/or depression due to feeling socially isolated.

I'm protected from psychosocial hazards connected to home working; such as increased potential for occupational stress and domestic violence.

We have a suitable system in place for reporting accidents or injuries during work hours.

We are covered by a clear policy on illness in which home workers who are sick or feeling unwell are encouraged to take the necessary time off to recover without fear of discrimination.

We are encouraged to take adequate breaks when they work from home.
