Unpaid carers and hospital discharge in Wales

The Senedd Health and Social Care Committee is holding an inquiry into hospital discharge.  The Committee wants to consider what causes delayed discharge for patients from hospital, the impact of delayed discharge on carers and the patient, what the barriers are and what support, help and advice is in place for carers during the process and what is needed to enable people to return home at the right time, with the right care and support in place.

Carers Wales has been invited to give evidence on the impact on unpaid carers. If you are an unpaid carer, and have had experience of the hospital discharge process recently, we would be very grateful if you could share your thoughts in this quick survey to inform our response and engagement with the committee.
