NHS Long Term Plan makes commitments to tackle inequalities in several areas of health care across different populations, including for people with mental health concerns. The COVID-19 pandemic, and the wider governmental and societal response, have brought mental health inequalities into sharp focus.

We know there are inequalities in receiving good mental health support when it comes to people from different ethnic and religious communities, different genders and people from other protected characteristics.

We, as part of the Mental Health and Dementia Joint Commissioning Team NCLCCG/Barnet Directorate, want to hear from residents and community groups in Barnet, and work together to co-produce our local borough plan to address MH inequalities (MH Addressing Inequalities Action Plan).
