Introduction

Dear Families

It is that time of year when we say a fond farewell to some of our pupils as they leave Riverside for their next educational placement.  Seeing our pupils transition from Riverside School is always filled with mixed emotions.  Together we have seen them grow and develop into the individuals they are today; experiencing with you some of the incredible challenges and moments of sheer joy along the way.

As a school we see our pupils’ time at Riverside School as just the first part of their journey.  We want our pupils to leave us as confident, lifelong learners - ‘Being all that they can be’.  We also want them to remember their time with us with great fondness, with memories of life-enriching experiences and enduring relationships.    Whether a child is coming to Riverside for their first educational placement or about to leave us for the next part of their journey, Riverside School wants to be a school that transforms the lives of our children and their families.

We welcome your views on how well we, as a school, are achieving our aims.  We are continually looking to evolve our school to be the best it can be for our pupils and families. We very much value your thoughts. The Governing Board has put together a short survey for families focusing on two key questions:

o    What difference do you think Riverside School has made to your child and you as a family?

o    Would you recommend us to other families?

We thank you for taking the time to share your reflections with us.

Yours sincerely
