Shapinsay Housing Questionnaire

Thank you for filling in our questionnaire. The Shapinsay Development Trust are exploring options to develop additional housing on the island following the success of the School House and 9 Balfour Village. The initial idea is to develop a further two properties through the Scottish Government’s Rural and Islands Housing Fund. The Trust has received funding to undertake an initial feasibility assessment of the project prior to the main funding application.

As part of the feasibility work an assessment of the housing needs on Shapinsay must be undertaken. This survey forms part of that assessment. Your answers will feed into the plans being developed by the Trust and will help us develop a business case for a project. We will feedback to the community on the results of the survey and the assessment of possible options and sites.

The survey will close on the 14th May 2022.
