Survey: Tackling climate change together

Welcome to Watford Borough Council’s sustainability survey: Tackling climate change together.  We want to hear from you whether you are a committed environmentalist or someone who never thinks about green issues.

Last year, Watford Borough Council declared a climate emergency. We set out a new goal for Watford to be a net zero carbon town by 2030 and to play our local part in the global drive to tackle climate change. We’ve created a new strategy to help us deliver this ambitious target.

We’ve introduced a range of new sustainable transport initiatives that are proving popular with residents, we are also increasing the town’s tree canopy and making improvements to the recycling of domestic waste. We have plans to reduce the council's own environmental impact and to work with local businesses to encourage them to drive down their emissions.

People taking their own action is, of course, key to the step change we want to achieve. We want to understand your thoughts and behaviours a bit more – that’s why we’ve devised this survey so the findings can inform our strategy and plans for the future.

More information about climate change and Watford becoming carbon neutral is available on our website: www.watford.gov.uk/sustainability

This survey should take just 10-15 minutes to complete.

All of your views will be looked at and considered.  We will not share your details or data with a third party or for any other purpose than for supporting our plans for a more sustainable Watford.

The survey is open until:  19 July 2020
