During our LEAD Network Conference in November last year, we hosted a range of breakout sessions that explored how we can work towards becoming a more diverse and inclusive sector. During these sessions, you our members came up with some great ideas about what’s needed. We have selected a short list of topics and now it’s back to you to tell us where the LEAD Network can add most value to you as individuals, over and above what your organisations are already doing.

Therefore, we are inviting you to vote on a topic that you feel the LEAD Network is best placed to take forward in 2019. We are looking to provide support and insights that build on those initial ideas and are specifically relevant to the CPG and Retail sector. So, have a look at the topics below and let us know which idea you feel the LEAD Network is best placed to add value on:

Flexible Working in practice – sharing practices on how we can make flexible working more mainstream across our organisations. Highlighting stories from role models and practical tips to improve work-life balance through flexible working.

Inclusive Leadership Assessment – identifying and defining what the traits of a truly inclusive leader are and providing tools to assess your own inclusiveness. This could also include practical tips on how to be more inclusive in team settings.

Dare, fail, win! – sharing stories by our members how have taken risks in their jobs or careers, learnt from failure and have turned them into opportunities. How to build resilience and confidence.

Minimizing Bias – share examples of how companies in our sector and individuals can reduce bias during recruitment processes, talent processes and promote more diverse teams.

Negotiation Skills Best Practice & Tips – share stories and practices to equip our members to be able to better handle internal negotiations (e.g. related to salaries, flexible working, etc) to help us close the gender pay gap.

Coaching & Mentoring Support – sharing tools and resources to equip our members to be great coaches and mentors within and outside of their organisations to help pay it forward.
