Unite Offshore - Against the 3 week rota

Note to signatories

We are using one grievance template—the grievance will go to each employing company. This is being done, at least to an extent, via SurveyMonkey - This is NOT a survey. It is a collective grievance.

It is imperative that you include the name of your employer. Once we have collected signatures Unite will then ensure that the right signatories are included in the correct collective grievance. For example: If you work for Sparrows Offshore or Cape Industrial Services you MUST state that and we will do the rest.

Wording of Collective Grievance:

We, the undersigned, wish to raise a collective employee grievance against the requirement to work 3 weeks (21 days) continuously offshore.

We note the findings of the Robert Gordon University study on the impact upon 3&3 rotation upon us as the workforce and would point to that study as evidence of the real harm continuous 3 week offshore work is doing.

We call upon you, as our employer, to meet with our Unite representatives at the earliest possible opportunity to consider options to resolve of very serious and legitimate concerns we have about the impact this rota is having upon us, the affected workforce.
