Common Interest groups provide businesses with the opportunity to collaborate with other likeminded entrepreneurs and businesses with the support from a specialist facilitator. In order to benefit from this opportunity, businesses must either
- work in the same food and drink subsector
- work in similar geographical area
- have similar issues you to overcome
- similar plans for future development.
The aim of the group must be to identify and implement a collaborative or innovative opportunity that can bring benefits to the group or the wider food and drink sector in the Highlands
If your application is successful, you will be allocated a specialist facilitator who will arrange for external expertise from support bodies, private sector and academia and help you encourage new members to join.
The facilitator will develop a plan for implementing the innovation that can benefit the whole group. By working together, the group should be in a position to undertake larger projects that can provide innovative solutions benefitting the members of the group or the wider sector. The facilitator will also help the group identify and apply for funding to help with project delivery.
