The GBCC is aiming to work with local businesses that want to sponsor and house people fleeing the conflict in Ukraine who have obtained a visa through a new government scheme.
The Homes for Ukraine programme will allow individuals, charities, community groups and businesses across the country to offer a room or home rent-free to Ukrainians escaping the war. Sponsored Ukranians will be granted three years leave to remain in the UK and will be able to work, claim benefits and access public services during this period. The Government has launched a website gathering expressions of interest from potential hosts - click

The GBCC has received a number of expressions of interest from businesses wanting to understand more about routes for sponsoring, employing and supporting Ukrainian refugees. The GBCC are committed to supporting these efforts and over the coming weeks we will be working to connect local businesses to avenues to contribute to or get involved in such activity. Please complete the short form below to be kept up to date on how businesses can get involved and to receive briefing information on routes for sponsoring refugees.
