Wakefield BID was set up in 2017, and, in 2022, businesses voted to approve a second term, to cover the period until 2027. During this time, the BID has delivered a range of improvements, including those around security, marketing, events, streetscene improvements and business support. The BID has also brought together local businesses, stakeholders and residents to improve the quality of life for all who live in, work in, and visit the city centre.
