Bathing Waters at Almondell on the River Almond |
Bathing Waters Survey
Forth Rivers Trust has applied to SEPA for designated bathing waters status for a stretch of the River Almond in West Lothian as it passes through Almondell & Calderwood Country Park.
We hope that a bathing water designation will help to reduce pollution in the Almond catchment by improving water quality testing and monitoring, which will benefit the local wildlife and allow people to get out and enjoy the river safely. If the application is successful it will mean that regularly updated water quality information is made available to the public.
