SME experiences of working in the UK defence supply chain

Introduction

The Ministry of Defence recognises that smaller businesses are a vital source of growth and innovation, enabling a diverse and competitive supply chain which delivers value for money for the Armed Forces. We are determined to reduce barriers and improve opportunities for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to win defence business, and we want to evaluate where this is working well and where there are opportunities for further improvement.

The purpose of this survey is to identify aspects of working in the UK MOD supply chain which either support or cause challenges for SMEs at all tiers of our supply chain. The outcomes of the survey will be used to develop improvement actions.
