There are a number of transport related issues around Little Shelford at the moment.  As a Parish Council, we would like to understand what the views of parishioners are and what attitude they would like the Parish Council to take

Question Title

* 1. The Parish Council is considering applying to reduce the speed limit from 30 mph to 20 mph where the current speed limit is 30 mph.  The data from "20 is plenty" shows that this might result in between 1 – 4 mph reduction in speed.  Experience elsewhere has shown that this is unlikely to reduce the number of cars travelling through the village. (https://www.20splenty.org/)

Should the Parish Council pursue reducing the speed limit to 20 mph?

Question Title

* 2. The Greater Cambridgeshire Partnership is planning a major increase in bus services within and to Cambridge.  This will be funded by imposing a congestion charge on all vehicles entering Cambridge except to access park and ride sites.  Patients and visitors travelling to Addenbrookes Hospital could be able to reclaim the charge.  (https://www.greatercambridge.org.uk/news/answers-to-your-questions-as-over-12000-people-respond-to-consultation).

Should the Greater Cambridgeshire Partnership create a congestion charging zone to fund public transport improvements?

Question Title

* 3. East West Rail have now confirmed their preferred route into Cambridge.  The planned route is via a new junction at Foxton / Harston.  It is not clear if the plan is still to permanently close the level crossing in Little Shelford as part of this.  The campaign group Cambridge Approaches are continuing to campaign against the southern route of the new railway.

Should the parish council continue to support Cambridge Approaches?

* 4. Is there any other external issue that you feel the parish council should be engaged with
