St Michaels Recreation Ground Refurbishment

Background Information

This survey has been produced to gauge residents' views on whether St Michael's Recreation Ground (which will be referred to as 'the park' hereon) would benefit from refurbishment and the addition of new equipment and other facilities.  It should be noted that at this point of the public consultation, any plans suggested by the Town Council or members of the public are subject to funding being sourced.

3.If you do use the park, how often do you go?
4.Please tell why you use the park.
5.Please tick all the equipment that you/or your dependant/s use.
6.If you selected 'Field for football/other activities' above, please state what your other activities are.
7.In the Younger Children play area, please select which equipment you feel needs replacing/upgrading.
8.In the Junior play area (climbing wall, etc), please select which equipment you feel needs replacing/upgrading.
9.Currently the Junior play equipment has no safety matting, only grass.  Would you prefer it to have matting or stay as is, i.e. grassed?
10.We are considering installing an adult outside gym possibly where the current baskeball hoop is located.  If this was installed, would you use it?
11.Do you think there should be more seating/picnic tables at the park?
12.Please state what other equipment you would like to see included at the park.
13.We are considering installing an all weather footpath around the perimeter of the Park to link the three entrances.  This would also include a footpath to the play equipment sections.  Would you find this a useful addition?  
14.Trees & Planting around the park.  Currently there are only a few trees dotted around the park and no other planting.  Please select which of the below you think should be considered.
15.Hedging along the top part of the park.  In the past, it has been suggested that the hedge that runs along the top of the park is removed and replaced with fencing to ensure better visibility of those using the park.  Please select which you feel would be appropriate.
16.We are considering installing a water fountain near the toilet block.  If there was one available, would you use it?
17.Currently the public toilets at the park are only open during limited hours and you have to pay to use them.  This system was put in place due to ongoing antisocial behaviour over the years, which is no longer an issue due to this process being adopted.  We would like to know your views on this.
