NaCSBA Self and Custom Build Homes VAT Survey 2019

Have you built your own home?

Self and custom home builders are exempt from VAT. Please help other self builders minimise VAT on their project by answering these simple questions - the results will be anonymous, and your data will not be shared or stored other than for the purpose of this survey.

The first five questions relate to VAT - but we'd love to know a bit more, although it's not essential.

By self build we mean homes built by their owners, but also homes commissioned by their owners and built by someone else, and also custom builds where you have worked with a developer to create a customised home. We count conversions as they attract some VAT relief, but we're not including renovations or extensions, no matter how large.

Thank you for giving us your time!
