The General Election in December 2019 resulted in a Conservative majority of 80 seats. The UK left the EU on 31 January 2020, and has now entered a "transition period" until December 2020 (based on current timeframes). During this period the UK Government will seek to determine its immediate future relationship with the EU and will begin negotiations with other global partners.

This questionnaire covers policy issues relating to science which may impact those working in the molecular biosciences. It aims to highlight any particular concerns and opportunities identified by our membership and evaluate their relative importance. This will help our policy team to focus on the issues of highest priority to the community and better represent the molecular biosciences as the Government moves forward into the next phase of negotiations, both with the EU and the rest of the world.

You do not need to answer every question. By completing this survey you agree to the Biochemical Society using your answers to inform and support its policy work, including dissemination of the results to our partner policy organisations and Government, provided sufficient responses are received. All answers will remain anonymous. Please contact policy@biochemistry.org with any queries.
