Chatterbooks offer

The Emma Press are publishing The Dog Who Found Sorrow, a new picture book translated from Latvian, and are offering ten sets of the book to Chatterbooks Read and Review groups.

The book is written by Rūta Briede and translated by Elīna Brasliņa, with illustrations by Elīna Brasliņa.

The book tells the story of a town suddenly invaded with black clouds, greying scenery and scentless rose bushes, and the dog who tries to uncover the source of the gloom and darkness…

Synopsis

Mysterious black clouds invade a small town, obscuring the town with a heavy smoky gloom that refuses to leave. Flowers lose their scent and colour and people start to lose hope. The Dog Who Found Sorrow follows an intrepid dog who sets out on a daring quest, determined to find out where the clouds came from.

The books will be delivered in late November and your group will have until 11 January to read the books and send back their individual reviews. Please only pitch for this opportunity if you will be able to send the group's feedback by this date.
