Carers Rights Day 2022
I wish I'd known
It’s easy to lose sight of your own wellbeing when you’re caring for someone. As an unpaid carer you have certain rights that may help you to look after yourself, such as the right to say you don’t want to take on certain part of a person’s care.
We regularly hear from carers about things they wish they’d known at the start of their caring journey; it might be a legal right that helped them or a tip or advice that made life easier.
This Carers Rights Day we’d love you to share with us what you wish you’d known at the start of your caring journey.
Please write your response below. If there is more than one thing you wish you’d known, feel free to write more than one.
We have a £50 supermarket voucher to give one person, chosen at random, who completes this survey. So if you’d like to enter the draw, please leave your email address at the end of the survey.
