More than four in 10 people (44 percent) plan to patronize a small business on Small Business Saturday 2018 according to a new CNBC|SurveyMonkey poll. Of those who do plan to do some Small Business Saturday shopping, a majority (58%) say they plan to visit small businesses in person, compared with just nine percent who plan to do their shopping online. Another 32% of people plan to do both. Other key findings:
- Just 28% of those 18-34 year-olds plan to shop on Small Business Saturday, compared with 51 percent of those 35 and older.
- More than half (56%) of people living in households with annual incomes of $100,000 or more plan to patronize a small business on November 24th, nearly twice the number of those living in households making less than $50,000 (31%).
